Why companies hold crypto
Some firms buy Bitcoin as a long-term reserve asset instead of holding cash; others are miners that keep part of what they produce. A few raise money through shares or debt specifically to buy more coins, which makes their stock behave like a leveraged bet on the coin price.
Holdings are as publicly reported by each company and can lag real changes by weeks. The "vs cost" column only appears where a company disclosed its purchase cost. Big corporate buying can support demand, but a forced seller of the same size could have the opposite effect.
