Editorial Policy: How We Write and Check Our Content

This policy explains how the VoxTradePro Desk and the VoxTradePro Editorial Team research, write, check and update everything published on VoxTradePro. It applies to news and analysis, market pages and learning guides.

Our principles

  • Original: every article, guide and explainer is written by us in our own words. We never copy or lightly reword other publishers' articles, and we do not publish automatically generated or spun content.
  • Accurate and sourced: facts and figures are checked against primary sources wherever possible.
  • Neutral: we explain what is moving a market and what to watch; we do not tell readers to buy, sell or hold anything.
  • Clear: we write for intelligent non-specialists, define jargon the first time it appears and avoid hype.
  • Transparent: every page shows a byline and a publication or update date, and articles list their sources.

Sourcing

We prefer primary sources: official statistics and reports from government agencies (for example the US Energy Information Administration, the US Department of Agriculture and central banks), exchange rulebooks and contract specifications, company and project disclosures, and data from established providers. Where we rely on reporting by other news organisations, we say so and link to the original. Every number in a news or analysis article is attributed to a named source with its date, and each article ends with a list of sources.

How a news article is produced

  1. Selection: we choose topics that matter to the markets we cover, such as a central-bank decision, an inventory report, a supply disruption or a major development in a crypto network.
  2. Research: we read the primary documents and data rather than relying on headlines.
  3. Writing: articles explain the context, the drivers and the scheduled events to watch, usually in 500 to 800 words, with internal links to the relevant market pages and guides so readers can learn more.
  4. Review: before publication, each article is checked for facts, figures, dates, tone and the absence of any buy or sell recommendation.
  5. Disclosure: every article carries a "not financial advice" notice and links to our disclaimer.

Market pages and guides

Market pages combine live reference charts from third parties with our own explanations of what drives each market, contract basics and an FAQ. Contract details are based on exchange specifications, which can change, so we note when readers should confirm details with the exchange. Guides are reviewed periodically and updated when market structure, rules or terminology change; the "updated" date on each page shows when it last changed.

Use of tools and automation

Price charts, technical gauges, crypto tables and the economic calendar are generated automatically from third-party data, and the "around the web" headline lists are compiled automatically from public feeds and filtered to remove spam and promotional items. Our articles and guides, however, are written and edited by people. We may use software tools to help with research, spelling or formatting, but a member of the team is responsible for every published word and checks all facts.

Corrections and updates

If we make a mistake, we correct it promptly. Minor fixes such as spelling or broken links are made without notice. Corrections of substance, such as a wrong figure or date, are made in the text and the page's "updated" date is changed; for news articles we add a short note explaining what was corrected. Readers can report errors through our contact page.

Independence and conflicts of interest

We do not accept payment for coverage, paid articles or undisclosed sponsored content, and we do not publish press releases as news. Advertising, if shown on the site, is supplied by third-party networks, is clearly separated from editorial content and has no influence on what we write. Team members do not write about an asset in order to influence its price.

Bylines

News and analysis appear under the VoxTradePro Desk byline and guides under the VoxTradePro Editorial Team byline. These are shared in-house bylines because each piece is written, reviewed and maintained by the team. More about us is on the about page.
